Olympic Peninsula Activities

Adventurous rain shadow residents and visitors have many outdoor opportunities.. The rolling pasture land of the Dungeness plain is perfect for road biking. The foothills have excellent mountain biking. The mountains have world class hiking in the summer and endless backcountry skiing options in the winter and spring.

Sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding are popular in the more sheltered bays of the area. When the wind comes up, which happens frequently in summer, Cline spit inside Dungeness bay is the spot to go for wind surfing and kite boarding. Heading West on route 101, you will see surf-board clad Sprinter vans heading to prime surfing destinations like Neah Bay.
